.In real life, my name is Tara. I was named after a place in Ireland called the Hill of Tara. I am a true Valentine, born on February 14th, 1976, in Nova Scotia, Canada. I come from a family of 4 children (2 brothers, 1 sister) and I have a wonderful boyfriend and a 2 year old son named Liam. I graduated from Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School with honours, and then went on to study at l'Université Sainte-Anne for 4 years, taking my arts degree with a major in English. I am bilingual; I know French as well as (obviously) English.
I have many hobbies and interests, among which are collecting things, music, art, and writing. I enjoy having "deep" discussions, and I am hopelessly sentimental. I am also, according to many people, and incorrigible romantic. My pet peeves are noisy, sloppy eaters, and thoughtless people who are too concerned with themselves to notice or care about anything, or anyone around them.
Online, I use a few different names. PolarCub is what I use most of the time, and is the 'good' side of my personality. I came up with the name cause I collect polar bears, and I think the cubs are adorable. I also use Demonah... this is a name that I use to represent the 'bad' half of myself. The half that likes to party, flirt, drink... etc. And finally, I also use Sunniye. This name (originally intended to be Sunni, but someone else was already using that nickname) got created because I wanted a hippie name... due to the fact that I still believe I was born in the wrong decade!
I love music. I play it, listen to it, hum it when I'm out walking... there is always a song in my head. I have a big collection of CDs, and I like many types of music. My favorite bands/singers are the Beatles, the Drifters, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Collin Raye, Peter Cetera, ... I also like some of the 'harder' stuff from the 80s... ACDC, Harem Scarem, Warrant, Exreme, Mr. Big... mostly "power ballads."
I like "weird" things too ... astrology, numerology, crystals and stones, superstition... Not saying I truly believe all of this stuff, but I find it intriguing...
I also enjoy learning about other cultures. India and China are the current subjects of my fascination!
